Faux Embroidery

Created in my Costume Dye, Print, and Paint class. The practice is normally done to quickly mimic embroidery on fabric for theatrical productions.

Mimics whitework embroidery. Made using dimensional fabric paint in white atop white cotton. Then parts of the fabric were cut out similar to actual whitework, where the fabric wefts are pulled and sewn apart during the process.
